Connecting Our Community
The countdown is on! We are less than a month away from Connect to a Cause on September 21st from 8 am – 8:00 pm. This Lorain County giving day goes beyond supporting a single non-profit; it’s about nurturing our whole community—now that’s remarkable. We invite Donors to join a larger community of everyday philanthropists, all driven by a shared passion for enhancing the Lorain County we cherish. Since its inception, Connect to a Cause has helped 92 non-profit organizations raise over $750K to live out their mission of serving the residents in Lorain County!
This year’s Connect to a Cause proudly presents 94 local non-profit organizations in the focus areas of Health & Human Services, Arts & Culture, Education & Youth Development, and Strengthening Lorain County. These non-profit organizations play a vital role in building and maintaining a healthy Lorain County by providing critical services to many people in our community.
Every donation empowers the participating non-profits to access bonus funding from our Business Champions. With these amazing businesses’ support, all participating non-profits will have access to more than $50K that will add to their individual fundraising success.
While the peak of activity will be 12 hours on September 21st, you do not need to wait until then to show your support for your favorite causes. You can also mail a check or make a cash donation using this donation form any time before that date.
Aside from cash, we also welcome non-cash assets such as stocks, Donor Advised Funds (DAFs), and qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) from Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) as donations. Donors can use this DAF/IRA form to select how they want their gifts allocated across the various participating non-profits.
This year we will be adding to the day’s excitement with an evening of purpose and celebration at the Connect to a Cause Celebration on September 21st from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Participating non-profit organizations will convene to celebrate each other and the community! We eagerly anticipate your presence in this extraordinary celebration to fortify our community bonds and show these causes how much they matter.
