Supporting Students to Achieve Their Goals

Scholarships align with the Community Foundation’s mission: connecting people who care with causes that matter. As part of our support for education, we administer scholarship funds established by individuals and organizations. Whether it’s medical school, journalism, ministry, nursing, or engineering, our scholarship donors make pursuing a career more attainable for all our high school and professional school students.

A large variety of scholarships are available and are based on a field of study, merit, financial need, and community involvement. Our simplified Universal Application seamlessly matches students’ interests and financial needs with specific scholarship criteria.

2024 Scholarship Application Update

As of May 15, 2024, all scholarship applicants who will be receiving a scholarship have been contacted via email with follow-up instructions and next steps. We congratulate the recipients on their achievements and look forward to supporting them in their educational endeavors.

The 2025-26 scholarship application cycle will open in December of 2024. We invite all prospective applicants to stay tuned for updates and to take advantage of the resources provided to prepare their applications effectively.

Thank you for your interest in the Community Foundation of Lorain County’s scholarships, made possible by the generosity of our donors. We wish all applicants the best of luck in their academic pursuits.
