Celebrate the Season of Giving: A Year-End Thank You
As we approach the end of the year, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we have had together. This holiday season, we want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has shown generosity and a commitment to making a difference in our community.
Your passion for causes that matter has left an indelible mark on the Community Foundation of Lorain County; for that, we are indeed thankful. Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones from all of us at the Community Foundation.
Flexibility that Makes a Difference
At the heart of our mission is the belief that having the most excellent flexibility in funding is essential, especially when responding to the ever-changing needs of our community. This belief is embodied in our Touch the Future Fund, a vital resource that enables us to address emerging issues head-on.
The Touch the Future Fund has recently played a crucial role in supporting adapted programs for children with disabilities, STEM initiatives, suicide prevention programs, and affordable housing projects. It’s a testament to the power of collective giving and its positive impact on the lives of those in need.
As we approach the end of the year, we invite you to consider making a gift to the Touch the Future Fund. Your contribution will ensure that we can continue to make a lasting impact, adapting to the evolving needs of our community as it grows and changes. Of course, you are also welcome to support any of our other 740+ funds, each addressing unique aspects of our community’s well-being.
Art for a Cause
Our commitment to making a positive impact extends beyond financial contributions. We are thrilled to showcase the extraordinary artwork of David Jansheski, particularly “Pia’s World State I,” part of a limited edition serigraph in seven unique colored states. Printed by the artist in 2001, these pieces are now available for sale at the Community Foundation of Lorain County.
David’s legacy gift to the Community Foundation has been instrumental in granting $60K to organizations such as the Elyria Arts Council, Gathering Hope House, and the Center for Art-Inspired Learning. These funds have supported initiatives like digital storytelling in Elyria middle schools, art recovery therapy, mural projects, and other programs enriching and uplifting our community.
Consider how your support can extend beyond traditional avenues in this season of giving. By acquiring one of David Jansheski’s remarkable pieces, you contribute to a legacy of giving that directly impacts our community’s arts and cultural initiatives.
As we close the year, let us come together to celebrate the spirit of giving that defines our community. Thank you for being a vital part of the Community Foundation of Lorain County. May the joy of the season be with you and your loved ones.
Warmest regards,
The Staff of the Community Foundation of Lorain County
