Youth Fund opens grant application to teachers and organizations

The Youth Fund (YF) began in 1998 to encourage philanthropy among young people. The YF Advisory Committee of students, grades 8-12, represents the diverse population of Lorain County and works with foundation staff to learn about community resources and how youth can make a difference.

Grants up to $2,000 are available to Lorain County teachers grades PreK thru 12. Grants will be awarded for projects to be completed in the current academic year, January thru August.

The Youth Fund Advisory Committee has identified the following issues as their preferred focus for funding (though other requests will be considered):

  • Life Skills
  • Financial Literacy
  • Healthy Life Choices
  • Career readiness eg resume-writing, interviewing, soft skills

These grants are made possible through the Youth Fund, an affiliate fund of the Community Foundation of Lorain County. Deadline to apply is December 1, 2021 at 11:59pm.
