We have over $800,000 in Scholarship Dollars to Award for Lorain County Students!
Yet some of those dollars will go unused!
Pursuing a 2-year degree? Changing careers? Graduating high school senior? Going to vocational school? Pre-med?
We have scholarships for any kind of student.
But, remarkably, a portion of our competitive scholarships could go unused because we did not recieve an application for them. Some scholarships are very specific, designated for graduates from a specific school or for an area of study.
For instance, the Chronicle Telegram Scholarship is available for students pursuing a degree in journalism at the undergraduate (3rd year student) or graduate level.
The Janet Lowther McMinn & Robert McMinn Scholarship Fund is for North Ridgeville High School graduating seniors with a preference for students pursuing a career in teaching (education) or business. The student be enrolling full-time at an Ohio college or university, including community colleges.
And the John H. Bobel Memorial Scholarship supports graduates of public or parochial schools in the City of Lorain and are enrolled as a student at Lorain County Community College.
The scholarship was created in memory of John Bobel, a graduate of Lorain High School and owned Bobel’s Business Products. He and his wife, Sally, were avid champions of the city of Lorain.
How do students find and apply for these or any of our dozens of scholarships? It’s simple!
Go to our website peoplewhocare.org/students and click on the application link to get started.
Deadline to apply is March 2, 2018!
Students only need apply once, the scholarship system will then match the student with all available scholarships for which they can apply. That means they only need to submit one essay, one official set of transcripts, one completed application form in order to get matched!
Help us spread the word!
Please share this with parents of college-bound children, with students you know, or maybe parents looking to go back to school, with teachers, administrators, your neighbor’s high school senior, or anyone else that might benefit from offsetting the costs of higher education or attaining a vocational degree.
