Welcome Our NEW Data Operations Associate, Leah!
Tell us about your new role with the Community Foundation
In my role as the Data Operations Associate at the Community Foundation of Lorain County, I focus on managing and analyzing data to support the Community Foundation’s initiatives. Leveraging my background in Mathematics and Data Science, I work on optimizing data management systems and creating insightful visualizations and reports. These efforts enhance the Community Foundation’s impact on the community by ensuring effective resource allocation.
How has your prior work experience prepared you for this role with the Community Foundation?
My prior experience as a Research & Evaluation Specialist at Elevate Tutoring has been instrumental in preparing me for this role. There, I specialized in data analysis and program development, particularly focusing on first-generation, low-income college students. This experience honed my skills in extracting meaningful insights from complex data sets and developing strategies for program enhancement.
How can people engage with you? When are you a good resource for the community?
I am always open to engaging with community members and partners. I believe in the power of data to tell stories and drive change. If you have questions about how data can reveal community needs, inform program development, or enhance project outcomes, I’m here to help. You can connect with me at community events, through the Community Foundation’s office, or via email for any data-related inquiries or collaborations.
What are you most excited about in working with the Community Foundation?
I am thrilled about the opportunity to apply my data analysis and program development skills to support the Community Foundation’s mission. Using data to reveal insights that can shape community programs and initiatives right here in Lorain County is incredibly motivating. I’m excited to contribute to meaningful projects that have a lasting impact on our community.
Share something you love about Lorain County.
What I love most about Lorain County is its remarkable diversity and close-knit community. It’s a place where the natural beauty of the metro parks meets the vibrancy of cultural events like the Lorain County Fair and the Lorain International Festival. The county perfectly balances urban, suburban, and rural landscapes, offering everything from relaxing summer days at Lake Erie to community programs and sporting events. What ties it all together is the strong sense of community created by connections between the residents, businesses, and nonprofit organizations, all working together to make Lorain County a place where residents from all walks of life truly thrive.
