Happy Spring and Mental Health Awareness Month!
At the Community Foundation of Lorain County, we are grateful to live, work, and play in a community that truly Connects People Who Care with Causes that Matter.
Recently, we had the pleasure of gathering with Mark Adams, Lorain County Health Commissioner, along with our medical and community health partners. In the past, each organization had its own community health plan with separate action steps and timelines. Today, we’re thrilled to share that Lorain County’s Community Health Improvement Plans are now coordinated—ensuring more effective, unified progress. You can learn more at LorainCountyHealth.com
As the weather warms, it’s the perfect time to enjoy our beautiful Lorain County Metro Parks and the many events hosted by our local Main Streets. Whether you’re exploring the outdoors or attending a community festival, there’s something for everyone. Check out our Volunteer Connect platform and community events calendar at LorainCounty.com, where you can also sign up to volunteer. Giving back is a powerful way to boost your own mental health while making a difference in the lives of others. And don’t forget to join us for Neighbor Nights that take place throughout the community. This is a great way to connect with old friends and friends you haven’t yet met.
And of course—spring blooms! Our local garden centers and talented JVS students offer a beautiful reminder of how vibrant and full of life Lorain County this time of year can be.
Do you have a favorite spring activity or a cause to support this season? We’d love to hear from you as we prepare for our upcoming Annual Meeting. Please mark your calendars and join us on Wednesday, June 18. More details can be found on our website at PeopleWhoCare.org.
Be well and enjoy all that this wonderful season—and community—have to offer.
Be well,
Cindy
