I hope you are enjoying this wonderful time of the year, when friends and families and communities gather to celebrate togetherness and reflect on the year winding up! This is a season during which we enjoy traditions, kinship, and familiar rituals. Those traditions may include baking cookies, trimming the tree, lighting candles, wrapping gifts, or attending services. Most of our traditions include family, friends and community gatherings. As we come together across our community, what traditions will you be celebrating this year?
May we also consider how best to include others in our community… How best to engage with the senior next door or the community center around the corner? It is a wonderful time to provide for those who most need our assistance at this time of year, as well as looking ahead, building a foundation that will last for years to come. As you prepare for year end, please consider individuals or groups with whom we should invest more time and build stronger relationships. We are always looking to Connect People Who Care with Causes that Matter.
At the Community Foundation we are excited to celebrate with you our 40th anniversary starting in January! These 40 years of your Community Foundation exist thanks to those generous individuals who, many years ago, planted the seeds to begin the work that we celebrate today. And thanks to so many of you today we are able to plan our 2020 community celebration. We look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks and months to celebrate our community together.
Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season!
