Community Foundation of Lorain County Board of Directors announced $1.1M in grant awards to 48 organizations at its regular meeting on December 18, 2019.
Community Foundation, which supports non-profit organizations serving residents in Lorain County, has invested over $100M in the community since 1980.
Board member Karen Wells stated, “The Community Foundation always celebrates the holiday season by funding our local organizations. This year, we awarded $1.1M in the categories of Arts & Culture, Education & Youth Development, Health and Human Services and Strengthening Lorain Count, with 54% of those funds targeted to Health & Human Services where the need is so great.”
