African American Community Fund & Service-Learning grant cycles now open

Grant Cycles Now Open

The African American Community Fund awards grants to non-profit organizations that address fundamental community needs, problems, or opportunities in the areas of health, social services, education, arts, and civic or cultural affairs in the Black community.  The grant cycles closes on November 15 at 5:00 PM. If you have questions or would like to discuss your grant application, please contact Angela Lee.

The Youth Fund, an affiliate fund of the Community Foundation of Lorain County, has opened their requests for Service-Learning grants from local educators.  “Service-Learning” links community service (e.g. collecting food for the needy) to curriculum areas such as developing math skills, studying nutritional standards, researching social problems and impact of poverty.  Service-Learning Grants through the Youth Funds are available to Lorain County teachers in grades K-12. Grants will be awarded for Service-Learning projects to be completed in the current academic year.
