“If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way”

― Martin Luther King Jr.

I am still buzzing with joy and gratitude from Connect to a Cause. We are so thankful to the 94 non-profits, 32 Business Champions, and thousands of donors from across Lorain County and as far away as California and Rhode Island who supported this event. Most importantly, thank you to our Board Members and so many who chose to show their support for the dedicated group of individuals who choose to do this work every day. We are excited to share our results with you at our Connect to a Cause announcement on October 3rd at Lakeview Park. We will also be live-streaming the announcement on our Facebook page.

From planning the logistics of Connect to a Cause to providing our Business Champions and non-profits the tools and resources they need, our team strives for excellence at every turn. Excellence is not a destination but rather a continuous journey marked by hard work and an unyielding passion for what we do. We know that we may not always get it right, but we are committed to providing excellent service to everyone. If you have a favorite non-profit that missed the opportunity to participate in this year’s Connect to a Cause, let us know, and we will reach out to them so they can join the conversation in January.

Do you have a favorite moment or Connect to a Cause story? Was it the game show, a favorite emcee, or an exciting moment for one of the causes that matter most to you? Share your stories with us – we would love to hear from you. You can also catch the video and photos on our Facebook page and website.

Check out the fantastic events and programs celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, which kicked off on Friday, September 15th and runs through October 15th. Be sure to read more about the significance of this month in the article by Eileen Torres, President of our Hispanic Fund. Also, consider adding the parade on October 7th in Lorain to your calendar. I hope to see you there or at another event this fall.

Be well,

Cindy
