Youth Fund Grants
The Youth Fund awards grants to non-profit organizations and teachers who provide youth development and educational opportunities to youth in Lorain County. Areas of interest include afterschool enrichment, community service, arts and culture, and many more.
In previous years, Service Learning grants were made possible through the Youth Fund of the Community Foundation of Lorain County. Created in 1980, the Community Foundation continues to make grants from over 600 endowment funds to non-profit organizations serving Lorain County. The Youth Fund (YF) was begun in 1998 to encourage philanthropy among young people. The YF Advisory Committee of students, grades 8-12, represents the diverse population of Lorain County and works with foundation staff to learn about community resources and how youth can make a difference.
