Crowd-Funding Campaign has Generated over $750K for Area Non-Profits
The fourth annual Connect to a Cause is scheduled for September 21, 2023. All participating organizations must register by March 31, 2023.
“Connect to a Cause is an opportunity to highlight the great work our non-profits are doing in our community,” shares Cynthia H. Andrews, President and CEO of the Community Foundation. “Over the past three years, our community has stepped up to raise over $750K to support 92 local non-profits. I encourage all Lorain County non-profits to join us for this incredible event.”
Connect to a Cause is a coordinated, 12-hour virtual fundraising event that rallies community support for organizations serving Lorain County. In addition to the March 31st registration deadline, all participating organizations must have established an agency endowment fund at the Community Foundation by June 1st. “Connect to a Cause not only provides immediate financial support to our participating organizations,” states Andrews, “but it also encourages our organizations build for the future through their endowment.”
The Community Foundation is looking for local businesses to join the campaign and help provide additional dollars to participating non-profits.
