Mitch Albom, accomplished author and sports journalist, once wrote that “no story sits by itself. Sometimes stories meet at corners and sometimes they cover one another completely, like stones beneath a river.” Here at the Community Foundation of Lorain County, we are able to experience the truth of such a statement on a very regular basis.  By uncovering and retelling stories of individuals and groups that have impacted Lorain County in such a large way, we are helping to preserve the pride and personality of our area, rich in diversity and generosity.

Because every story is so important, we have decided to address the need for accessibility to these stories for more people than those working in the Foundation office.  This user-friendly, wisdom-filled database is brimming with connections, hidden treasures and parallels just waiting to be discovered by you. 

There are several ways of navigating through our catalog of tales.  To view all of the stories, simply hit “Submit” without specifying in any field.  You may limit your search by choosing one or a combination of options from the below lists, and you have the ability to personalize the search further on the next page by entering a keyword to search for.
