Collaboration

The Community Foundation of Lorain County believes in the power of working together and is actively engaged in collaborations locally to globally to build community through philanthropy.  Below are some of efforts of which we are proud to be involved.


In Lorain County


Lorain County Foundation Network
LCFN is a network of foundations serving Lorain County, dedicated to exploring better ways to coordinate and cooperate to better serve the residents of our community.



In Northeast Ohio

The Fund is an unprecedented collaboration of more than 60 foundations in NE Ohio who have pooled resources and grantmaking to improve the economic viability of our region.


In the State


OGF is statewide membership organization serving the foundation sector in Ohio and dedicated to the promotion of philanthropy in this great state.


Nationally

COF is a national membership organization serving the foundation sector and is currently administering National Standards for community foundations, to which our Foundation was one of the first to declared in compliance.



Internationally

Our Foundation is one of eleven US delegates involved in an exchange of ideas and practices between North America and Europe.  The Network is administered by the Bertelsmann Foundation in Germany with support and funding from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.

Community Foundation Transatlantic Fellowship

Our Foundation hosted a German Fellow in 1999 and currently serves on the Advisory Committee for this summer fellowship program administered by the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the King Baudouin Foundation in Belgium.
