Jennifer Pulkownik, Publicist and 2007 graduate of Amherst Steele High School, will attend Michigan State University in the fall.  She will major in Pre-Med/ Human Biology. “YF was a worthwhile experience.  It feels good to make a difference in the community and be a part of a group that really cares and gets involved with several different projects in Lorain County.”

Lauren Holbrook, a 2007 graduate of Admiral King High School, will attend OSU in the fall.  She will work toward her main ambition in life: discovering a main ambition in life.  “I have really enjoyed being a member of YF.  Seeing the influence that community activities and philanthropy has on the survival of so many programs and organizations has been amazing.  YF has made me realize the importance of community involvement.  I am very grateful to have had this experience!”

Liz Metelsky, President and 2007 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School, will attend the University of Cincinnati CCM in the fall.  She will major in Theater Design and Production. “YF was incredible.  Going to meetings and working with different students who are so different for a same cause is aweing.  It’s amazing to just sit and work with students that care.”

Rachel Sciulli, a 2007 graduate of Admiral King High School, will attend Oberlin College in the fall.  She will study Film/Cinema. “I have been in YF for four years and the experience has really done for me.  I have learned a lot about real groups and how others come together to be a part of something bigger.  I have watched the YF grow, people come and go, and new YF members learn what I learned my first year.  It was a wonderful experience.”

Amanda Akers, a 2007 graduate of Midview High School, will attend Kent State University in the fall.  She will major in Marketing. “I have been a member of the Youth Fund for two years and have wholly enjoyed my experiences with diverse people and the many different activities we have done.  The Youth Fund has greatly helped me grow as a person.”

Tim Krumreig, a current junior at Firelands High School, has been a member of Youth Fund for 3 years.  Next year, Tim will serve as the Youth Fund’s Vice President. “I hope to help guide the Youth Fund in a positive direction next year.  Learning more about the community and helping is a passion of mine.  The YF helps with this.  Also, meeting people from around the county is a great experience.  I hope it stays successful in the future!”

Jill Monda, a current junior at Avon High School, will serve as the YFAC president next year. “Youth Fund has been a great experience for me; it has been fun to see life outside my school and to get a look at my community.  I’m excited for the next year! YAY!”

Megan Mendoza, a current junior at Amherst Steele High School, will serve as next year’s Publicist. “The YF is unlike anything I’ve ever participated in.  It’s great to learn more about the community and philanthropy!  I hope to continue this amazing learning opportunity.  Can’t wait for next year!”

Dalton Rimbert, a current junior at Oberlin High School, has two goals for the future: first, to be ALIVE.  Second, go to some college, take life one day at a time. “YF has taught me that it’s not always bad to be behind the scenes.  Nobody even knows that I’m in this and I love that!”
