Great Grants: Western Reserve Land Conservancy

Western Reserve Land Conservancy
From the Lake Erie Shoreline to the rolling farmland of its southern borders, Lorain County possesses a quiet beauty. Western Reserve Land Conservancy is working with local landowners to preserve these beautiful local acres. Serving fourteen counties in Northern Ohio, the Conservancy has a Firelands Office located in Oberlin where staff have successfully worked with landowners, farmers and even the Boy Scout Council, who all hoped to preserve this natural landscape and a create a legacy of land that will last forever. The Community Foundation has granted over $40,000 historically to support the Firelands Office with a $5,000 grant approved in the Foundation's latest grant cycle.
