Community Foundation Board Approves over $730,000 in Grants

 

The Board of Directors of The Community Foundation of Lorain County approved $730,263 in grants at its December meeting.  The Foundation funds non-profit organizations serving Lorain County citizens in 5 areas:  Arts and Culture, Community-Building, Education, Health, and Social Services.  Local agencies receiving grants include CityMusic Cleveland, receiving $5,000 towards five concerts in Elyria, Main Street Elyria, receiving $15,000 for operating support, Educational Service Center of Lorain County, receiving $4,520 for a Gifted Arts Mentorship program, Gathering Hope House, receiving $26,881 for homeless outreach, and Boys and Girls Club of Lorain County, receiving $40,200 for Project Learn.  A complete list of Community Foundation grants is below:
